Sean Piazza is a communications strategist with 15+ years of experience helping organizations navigate change and build trust.

With more than 15 years of experience across nonprofits, startups, and public institutions, he brings a steady, strategic approach to communications—especially during moments of transition, scrutiny, or opportunity.

At the International Rescue Committee, he led U.S. communications during the Travel Ban and Family Separation policies—supporting CEO David Miliband, and securing consistent top tier coverage on above-the-fold issues. Sean’s messaging appeared in The New York Times, CNN, NPR, The Daily Show and The Washington Post. His work contributed to an 11-point rise in public support for refugee resettlement as well as $100M+ in fundraising and earned a PRWeek Award for Best Nonprofit Campaign.

In tech, Sean built the communications function at PropTech startup Ribbon, leading media and messaging through a $150M Series C, national expansion into 20+ markets, and acquisition. He secured coverage in WSJ, TechCrunch, USA Today, and CNBC—positioning the company as a fairness-first disruptor in residential real estate.

In a pro bono capacity, he served the start up TVP Health, which developed a low-cost device (Aira) to address global shortages during the COVID-19 pandemic.

As Principal of Anderson Driggs, this versatility has come to life: led GTM positioning and media for Indigo, an AI-powered home transaction platform. In the civic space, Sean led a $35M public institution’s rebrand — elevating its voice as a defender of intellectual freedom and in opposition to censorship.
